The ultrasound creates cavitation bubbles which perforate a piece of aluminum foil in the water. This provides a very good visual representation of the physical force that the ultrasound exerts on pollutants in the water.

 

Temperatures of up to 5000 degrees Celsius are generated on a microscopic scale. In combination with the resulting pressure, pollutants are removed from the water.

 

This way we can use our devices to remove

CAVITATION CLOUD

In our systems, a microbubble or cavitation cloud is generated in the ultrasonic reactor. This is unique worldwide.

Organic pollutants such as viruses, hormones, medical residues, etc. are inactivated.

Due to the high temperature differences (up to 5,000 K), microplastic particles are also converted into carbon.

Our systems can purify drinking water, industrial water and wastewater, from 1,500 liters to 250,000 liters per hour.

SAVING ENERGY COSTS

Calculating energy savings:

 

Annual water consumption:

Assume that a hotel with 100 rooms uses an average of 60 litres of water per room per day. This results in an annual hot water consumption of 2,190,000 litres.

In most countries around the world, it is common practice to heat tap water to 70 degrees Celsius to kill legionella and other bacteria.

Our system allows us to avoid this heating. Our technology kills bacteria regardless of the water temperature.

 

Energy savings per liter:

By avoiding heating to 70 °C, we save 52 °C of energy per litre of water if we assume a water input of 18 degrees Celsius.

Assuming a calorific value of 0.001 kWh/l °C, this corresponds to an energy saving of 0.052 kWh per litre.

Total energy savings: The total annual energy savings are therefore 2,190,000 liters * 0.052 kWh/l = 114,480 kWh.

 

Cost savings :
With an electricity price of €0.40/kWh, the annual cost savings are 114,480 kWh * €0.40/kWh = €45,792.

 

Additional benefits

  • Rapid killing of bacteria: Ultrasound acts directly on the cell structure of bacteria and kills them reliably and quickly.

  • No legionella formation: Legionella is particularly heat-resistant. By avoiding high temperatures, the formation of legionella in the hot water pipe system is effectively prevented.

  • Lower maintenance costs: Since high temperatures are not required, there is less limescale and corrosion in the hot water pipes. This leads to lower maintenance costs.
